OVERNIGHT NATURALIST

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Overnight Naturalist is responsible for overnight supervision of Science Camp participants from June 7-August 12, 2010.

DUTIES:

1.Work jointly with 1 other staff in the overnight supervision of the Science Camp program consisting of 10 week long residential camps for 12 children ages 9-12 (8 camps) and 13-16 (2 camp).

2.Assist with morning meal preparation and cleaning.

3.Assist with camper well being, including homesickness, discipline and health issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Certified childcare provider or proven experience with supervising children.

2.Proven positive safety record with children.

3.Certification in first aid and CPR required.

4.Valid drivers license, good driving record and reliable transportation to the preserve. Willingness and ability to operate 12-passenger van.

5.Commitment to conservation and the mission of Cincinnati Museum Center.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Camp runs from June 7-August 12, 2010. Edge of Appalchia is located in Adams County, near West Union, Ohio. Temporary position with start and end date equivalent to camp dates, possibly a day or two extra on either end. 40 hours per week. Position pays minimum wage.
